  • Philip Age – What Others Receive (Original)

Today was a very productive national holiday here in the Czech Republic. I finished this little tech-house track that I built upon this spoken word by Daniel Donahoo. It’s CC-licensed: Attribution Non-Comercial (that means you can use it and remix it freely as long as you don’t make money on it). It’s called What Others Receive.

Download the track here. It’s in A-flat minor (1A) D minor (7A) (correction by HarMonkeys, thanks!) and 130 BPM. The DJ notation would go something like this:
    -(-4:41)=(-4:12)#(-1:26)=(-1:11)-

Let me know if you like it!

UPDATE: Oh look, I uploaded it onto youtube! :)

    Hi Philip Age,

Where did you get the key from for What Others Receive?

If you used a shareware like Mixed In Key, I understand because there are always mistakes with it.

As far as I’m concerned, I do it by hear, because I don’t trust computer programs. Anyway, I think your music is in 7A.

Tell me what you think about it.

    Wow, you’re right, actually!

I did the track in 7A, but when Mixed in Key told me it’s 1A I was like: well, maybe I slipped to another harmony during the process. I didn’t think about it that much afterwards – the think is it works quite well with 1A, too…

    Thanks for the correction!
